The Big Grip Garden Knife reduces hand fatigue whether you?re slicing through sod, digging out dandelions, opening bags of soil, planting or transplanting. An extra-large handle with a soft-molded grip provides excellent control and comfort, and the cast-aluminum head resists rust and won?t snap off while you?re digging. A sharpened blade with a serrated edge makes it easy to dig into tough soil. Additionally, the handle features a hang hole for convenient storage. Lifetime warranty.The Fiskars big grip garden knife features a comfortable grip and an oversized tool head to provide added comfort and control. The garden knife is an ideal choice for digging, planting, weeding, and transplanting. It sports a serrated edge on one side to cut through tough roots and a straight blade on the other side ideal for digging. The pre-sharpened edges are designed to cut through the ground easier. The middle of the blade has a trough-like indention for transplanting soil or seeds, and has a notched tip at the end to remove weeds. The metal blade is also coated with a rust-resistant material, and the handle features a large hang hole for easy storage. The tool comes with a limited lifetime warranty.

If you are looking for a general lawn tool for weeding and cutting, this is it! I've used other hand weeders from the big box stores and this tool makes them obsolete, especially for tackling dandelions. I've used mine for past two years on my 1/4 acre lawn and still holding up very well. Material is carbon steel, so I do try to keep it clean and shoot it with WD40 from time to time (there is a small / not very noticeable rust mark on the corner). Though I use the handle to carry, I often find myself holding the metal part in popping out the weed (I wear gloves all the time). This along with Fiscars 9.5" titanium knife would be my two favorite lawn tools, allowing me to take care of my lawn the traditional way (though I have powered trimmer and edger). I just enjoy the peace and quiet of being close to the lawn when I have extra time to do a better job. I used to shoot all my weeds, then having to pull out dead and pesticide covered weed with my hands. Oh, if you have problems with Fiscars, they will ship replacements or parts. Customer service is excellent!!!
